    Remarkable little critters, ain't they?

I had a couple of cats, 2 males from the same litter. One of them had a purr that would rattle the windows, but his meow was a pathetic little peep; often he'd open his mouth to meow, and no sound would come out at all. His brother's purr was hardly detectable, but his meow would tear a hole in sheet metal, especially when we were giving him a bath.

We just adopted a stray kitty (yeah, I know, he adopted us ). We don't let him in the house (we have parakeets) except in the morning and evening, when we're prepping his food. He runs from the patio to the kitchen, plops down right in the middle of the floor, and stares at us patiently as a gentle reminder of our duty. As we head outside with his bowl, he leads the way, looking back to make sure that we haven't forgotten where to go.

Sometimes I think the feline egg has the DNA for one complete cat, and it gets split apart into several cats, each of which is therefore "part cat, part bozo."

I have no idea whatsoever how this relates to JW/exJW issues. LOL

Cat lovers like me will always answer to cat threads.

I started a thread about cats last week, and many people responded, so this isn't just a XJW forum.

That sounds just like one of ours, she is also the most needy and attention seeking cat I have ever known You can push her away after stroking her for ages and she will jump stright back up, once she finally gets the hint and gets sick of being pushed off your knee, she will sit on the floor and nuzzle your feet like she is stroking herself because you cant be bothered.

The other cat, the one in my pic is just completely demented - she likes a fuss but only when she decides you can and its usally when she wants feeding.

They are both from the same litter too, but have completely different personalities.

We got our first kitty (named Kitty Cat) over 12 years ago. She was a great, friendly little cat. When we moved to California (from Ohio) she sat in the car with me and would sleep mostly. Sometimes she would look out the windows.

In California we always let her outside afterwork. During the day was in the house. Only a few times did she not come home after curfew. I would whistle and she would come home within 5 minutes when it was bedtime.

We moved to Kentucky about 3 1/2 years later. Had to go on a plane. Very stressful for poor kitty. She had to be given drugs to knock her out. Meowed etc until the airport people said I had to give her the kitty tranquilizers. I did. She made it to Kentucky.

When in Kentucky she was allowed outside also. One day she came home and looked like she was hit by a car. I took her to the vet who said she must have been hit by a car. Two days later my neighbor came over to ask how she was...I did not know the neighbor knew she was hit. The neighbor told me she was not hit by a car, she was in a cat fight with the local tom cat. He beat the crap out of her. I never let her outside again.

We moved to Kansas 2 years later and for a Xmas present my husband got me a kitten. The cutest little kitten of course. She was very friendly and just wanted to cuddle.

Kitty Cat hated her (still does). The new cat, Tiger (nicknamed Fat Cat-she weighs over 20 lbs) is very passive and meek. She lets Kitty Cat (now named Skinny Kitty-she weighs 5 1/2 lbs) chase her, nip her in the butt and basically take all the good cuddle spots.

Fat Cat loves to sleep on top of my husband. After we go to bed a loud thump can be heard and felt on the bed....she climbs on top of my husband, no matter what position he is in. She purrs loudly until he shifts and she ends up spooning with him!!

Skinny Kitty now yodels (sp?) to go outside. It is beyond a meow. It is glass shattering and very long. Very soulful. She really wants to go out, but at age 12+ I don't think it is safe. She cannot jump on the counters anymore so I know she cannot scale a tree or fence. She has turned into a cantankerous old lady. Very testy and moody.

The Fat Cat has never been outside and has never tried to go out. She eats, sleeps and plays....what a life.

I do have a picture of my husband with the Skinny Kitty sitting on his lap, while on the toilet. They shared quiet time every morning; until we got Fat Cat. Now the Fat Cat sits on his lap while he *reads*. It is too funny! I have to find that photo. When I do, I will post.

My cat is a crazy Nets fan! I tried to tell him that this headband doesn't fit, but he insists on wearing it for good luck!
