  i went out friday night to a local night club. who do i see in there? 5 JWs. typical i thought. good job i didn't spark up on my way in. however, not only are they in a night club enjoying themselves with 'dead' worldly people, but a guy who was with them was an unbaptised publisher who quit meetings, and was smoking, plus i know that he take drugs aswell. a couple of them came over when they had spotted me and shook my hand.

  are standards slipping, or has an attitude of being picky about how much of a JW you are always been prevalent?

  I don't think their standards are changing at all but I'm sorry you had a run in with them. It's been so long for me that I don't even think they'd recognize me...yay! Were they rebellious dubs?

  they're not really rebellious, just the run of the mill young JWs.

  I think there will always be the relaxed jw, who bends the rules, and the straight up self rightous jw. There are all out there.

  I don't know if standards are slipping, though I would advocate that.

  From what I can tell, the double lifer JW's are all out and about on the town. I can give you a list of so many I have seen at the night clubs,,,,,,,,,,of course you probably all remember the rat ministerial servant who turned us in for smoking right? Well , he is still out and about and terrified I am going to rat on him. He even smoked one of my cigs right with me,,,,,, I bet he didnt tell that . Then there is the d/f sister who is out living it up until the armeggedon bell rings. I have saw her at least 3 times in the last few weeks there. Good for her, maybe she will see she really wants to have a life.......this is a nice club and has all kind of people there young,old and the basically weird of course. I don't see anything wrong with someone being there who is an active JW,,,,,because they play all kinds of music , and I wish I would have went there long ago. I am enjoying my clubbing and hate the years I stayed at home on weekends preparing my field service bag or studing for the same old crap Watchtower study.
