It's a mess. Kind of goofy.
Most of the heavies mentioned like Knorr and Franz were scrutinized constantly.....even after Knorr was married rumors circulated that it was a sexless marriage.
If there was any hanky panky going on it would more likely be about pushing someone out and grabbing their position. Rutherford was a master player in how to achieve power. Power was better then sex to these guys.
Being power mad keeping what power they did have they would not have exposed themselves.
