I'm sure I've read somewhere that jws consider themselves "it" because they do so much 'preaching' work. If so, who do they say this bit is referring to?

I have been confronted with this arguement on several occassions.
'Come on, who else is preaching the good news like Jehovah's Witnesses ? ' and 'Who else makes Jehovah's name known to the nations?' are two of their most used questions they use when faced with criticism of their faith. I must admit, I was stumped at how to answer this at first, but through some personal study, I can answer back fully.
Ray Franz covers both these subjects in his book 'In search of Christian Freedom'. He points out that the 'good news' Jehovah's Witnesses preach is not the same as the good news outlined in the holy bible. Whilst reading this article, it helps you to understand how to answer a JW when they come out with this argument. On another note, It is not only Jehovah's Witnesses that are preaching worldwide. You can view stats that tell you many other faiths preach across the world.
Obviously, you will be confronted with 'Yes, but it's the Witnesses that are preaching the Truth , nobody else is ! ' ...... this is a different arguement altogether.
You know how they see it....that's how they get away with being such a huge religious/business entity without doing any real charity work. As if somehow spreading "the good news" equated to actually engaging in activities that directly benefit those less fortunate.

And what is this Good News they preach?
That 99.9% of mankind will die very soon now at the hands of an angry Jehovah, and "SOME" of them will make up the survivors.
Now that's Good News eh?
As far as preaching.....the witnesses never make anything over the fact that christendom had missionaries in as many places as they do. They also go to nursing homes and other social service places and do their preaching. For ALL the hours spent by the witnesses preaching........their success rate does not equal christendoms.
I have seen by far.....more new churches being erected than I do Kingdom Halls.
