With some interesting changes in JW Land ......

- subscriptions only allowed through kingdim hall

- internet is more so taboo

- The watchtower site, has no history files or unable to read magazines on line, it seems that they will not be using the internet as a tool for preaching.

- new comers into the religion, can sheck out everything on the internet before they get too involved.

So, How will the Watchtower be able to increase the numbers (followers) ????????

There will ALWAYS be suckers. Actually I guess sucker isn't a good word.

People will continue to put there hopes in something they cannot see because what they DO see doesn't satisfy them. It's easier for people to believe than not to believe. Believing takes only faith.

I do believe the numbers will see a decline eventually, starting with a time period of little or no growth.

Yes, the fact is that the internet is coming into everyones homes, just as years ago radio, then tv, then a vcr, then personal computers. The more they tell the witnesses not to look, the more they will want to, given the privacy of being at home and having access to all this information.

Right now, the vast majority of all getting baptized are the children of grown adults already in. These young ones will have even a greater opportunity to look up info on the web, after all, they are growing up with it.

The internet, no doubt, will be a major player in the demise of the WTS.

Just a question....how many people are getting baptised, that are not born JW? Anybody know? I was born JW but left soon after. I had a total gutful.

For one thing, I would imagine that they are going to lose readership because of ceasing subscriptions. There are many people who read the mags who don't really want jws coming by all that often if at all, and they don't want to go to a KH to get them either.

Also, if things quite down terrorism-wise, I think their numbers may well decline or at least stagnate.

Plus, we all know that much of their increase is only due to their own kids getting baptized.
