    ?

Last week at work I wanted to know why my collegue had been called into the office for a talking down. Heres what transpired:

He had a new credit card and he put the Pin number into his mobile phone so he wouldnt forget it. To disguise the pin# he added the 5 number area code of the town we live in 01278, and 2 additional numbers to make it look like a phone #.... he went out for the night with a bunch of guys and at 4am in the morning he decided to get petrol so he coud make it home. He brought the diguised pin number up on his phone and accidently pressed call..it dialled someones house! 2 mins after a lady phoned him back raving that he would call her at 4am. He politely apologised and hung up. Then the husband of the lady called raving at him, so he got into a bad mouthing match.

Next day at work he was called into the office to ask why he had called up this woman who works at the same place as we do! She wanted to know how he had gotten her phone number from protected data files. No one was swollowing his story of the "PIN" number, it seemed too coincidental that out of the thousands of people who share the same area code he could call a lady that works within 5 ft of him. Well he had to produce the pin number from the bank statement and it was true. He was cleared and all were very surprised. What are the chances of that happening?

Anyway, I thought it interesting that such coincidences do happen.

I could relate more, but over to you...

Well, I was at a national convention for my profession today, and in the morning I sat by a very nice lady from Halifax. We lost track of each other in the afternoon. At the end of the seminar portion, we were invited to a "mixer" where each of us were handed half a playing card. If we managed to find our "partner" fast enough, we got a prize. Wouldn't you know it, my friend from Halifax had the other half! This is in a crowd of over 300 people.

We both raved at the coincidence. By the way, we both won $15 in Tim Horton's gift certificates.

A few months ago a University mailer arrived at my house addressed to the woman who owned the house before I bought it. I keep a Sharpie in my box to write her new address when things come, but when I looked closely at the address label on the postcard. It was covering an address previously printed on the card. When I looked closely at the bleed through, I could read it. It was addressed to the man who bought my parents' house-the one I grew up in. He and his family apparently still live there. Weird coincidence. I had to hand deliver this one to the gal I bought the house from, with proof I lived at the other address as a child. We thought it was pretty cool. Shoshana

Well - this one isn't mine it's my mom's, but I'll share it.

My mom has a best friend (I'll call her Nancy) that she does EVERYTHING with - they have been good friends for a very long time. Last year my brother (who lives about 2000 miles from here) announced he had met someone and was getting married. He brought her up to our State to meet mom. Mom fell in love with her right away and wanted to introduce her to Nancy. Well - when my brother's fiance met Nancy they realized that they already knew each other. Apparently, Nancy took care of her when she was a little girl.

One of the most strange and most fun:

About 20 years ago I was in Europe with a group of people. We had no itinerary, so we were jumping off trains and hopping on them for about 2 months. (Thanks to Eurail passes.) We were in Paris and having lunch when one of the ladies commented she thought one of her colleagues at the school where she worked would be coming to Europe, but she didn't know when or the days during the summer. As we were finishing our dessert, a couple was seated behind us and this woman looked over at our table shouted out my friend's name. It was her fellow teacher! She and her husband had just arrived in Paris and went out to dinner after arriving at their hotel.
