After deprogramming, I found that I was a lot more at ease and comforable with who I am. This transferred to how others treated me. I no longer struggle with that unending battle between who I was/am and who the J-dud Masters told me I should be. I rarely get depressed and am generally a happy person now. How about you? Maverick

Basically the same Maverick, but I am just at the start as far as building a new life. I mean I started college and will be starting university, I have come a long way from what I was but I am still inexperienced in a lot of ways as far as the real world go's. Life is exciting now. It reminds me of part of a lyric I wrote ' ...this twisted reality that keeps me i ntrigued '. As far as JWs go, not a blip anymore - thank God. When I do 'experience' a JW (usually family or friends), it reminds me of how sad and weak they really are. Only they can do the job of saving themselves though.

Hey, Bewise, join a greek letter fraternity. That will help you beyond your wildest imagination to get in the right groove. Wait till you hit the University and then go to every Greek house during rush week. You'll have a blast.

Francois, I checked out your ‘Pi Kappa Phi’. It seems they are against everything - ‘Uni’.

Mav,
I no longer struggle with that unending battle between who I was/am and who the J-dud Masters told me I should be.
That is so very very true. The expression "human doings, rather than human beings" comes to mind.
I've never truly been at peace with myself, until this last year. It feels so different, like living in a foreign country and not even knowing the native language.

I've stopped hating myself and the world around me, over the past few years. I've finally realised that it's a great place. No matter what religion (or lack thereof), we are all still human, right?
