    G'day all,

You gotta hand it to old Ozzie! He sure is determined. Y'see Mrs Ozzie and I are in the most unlikely of places to be writing a weekend poll.

Clue? Soviet era establishment about as far north as you can get on this planet. Say, is that a record! The letters on this *********** keyboard are all over the place. its not qwerty, and its not in roman characters!! bloody hell!!!

Anyway, its incredible to think that here in sovietsville it's midnight and bright sunshine. does that give you a clue

wheres the ******* question mark key*****

OK hows your weekend going, orright.......

how come theres no question mark.....typical totalitarian organisation...you're not allowed to question...just like the borg, eh...

We've done weekend polls from the jungles and now from the desolate wastes. Talk about international!

So what shall we reminisce about this weekend.....the Writing Dept have selected this as this weekend's poll question.....

As a dub, what did the Last Days mean to you...... 1. The "end of this wicked system of things". 2. The reason for pioneering. 3. The reason why I did not buy a house. 4. The reason why I did not go to college. 5. A phrase to be inserted in every talk. 6. End of year runout sale. 7. Time to get your reports in. 8. The time between Jesus' departing and his coming again. 9. Not long to get the Kingdom Hall built. 10. Not long before the pub runs dry! 11. The "truth" that separated us from the apostate churches. 12. Never thought about it! 13. Couldn't work it out. 14. Other (please detail)

We're looking forward to reading your responses, so enjoy! Cheers, Ozzie

So boring, but I looked forward to an end of suffering and pain, not just my own but everyone's.

But as time went on, I realized how often the source of pain and suffering were the very people I thought I could trust not to hurt me.

So now the last days mean "the last days I spent at the KH and how last year were the last days I attended the DC and these are the last days that I go door to door telling lies to people."

Like a carrot on a stick, the "last days" were something so close you could almost reach out and touch it, yet never materialised. They even told you we had our spiritual paradise now, and that is an attempt at brain washing at it's best!

From 1914 to whenever Armageddon was to start. I don't know if that classifies as 1 or 11.

I think my answer pretty much dittos what Ballistic said, and that is why I was soooo disillusioned after they came out with the Generational adjustment in 1995. I began to realize that they were full of shit and I got even more depressed than I was before! It's tough when all your dreams go up in smoke, and I hope for that and what they've done to harm so many people, they will pay for one day.
