with the frenzy going on WORLDWIDE, for the long awaited Harry Potter release (well no that long) (I let one of the girls off early from work the other night so she could get one for her daughter, she had about an half hour wait)($38.00 Canadian)

Anytime, there is a big item that people on the entire planet want, (books, games, movies, latest fads, latest tech stuff). The Watchtower has to put in their two cents. Because why would anyone want anything more than the Watchtower/Awake magazines, with the end so close.

So it brings up the question, What will the Watchtower say about this book ??? (oh they will NOT mention by title at your local kingdom hall, but you will know what they are talking about)

And with the summer assemblies coming up, I'm sure there will be a talk on this, What do you think ???

I wonder if the Watchtower is upset, that their new book "Learn from the Great teacher" isn't outselling Harry Potter ??????

I doubt they will say anything at the conventions this summer. Those talks have been written for a long time.

I do know that many of the "Christian" churches condemn the Harry Potter books. I'll bet they haven't read them either.

I don't know, Harry Potter has been around for a while, and the movies have been very popular as well as the books. I don't recall hearing anything pointed in that direction by the organization, or even individuals. That may not be the case everywhere but that's been my experience.

In its introduction, the new WBTS book for children makes mention of the fact that, more than ever before, children are exposed to 'spiritism' which may be a dig at the Harry Potter phenomenom.

Maybe Brooklyn should've put Professor Dumbledore on the front of their new book if they were worried about sales.
