  Hey, they could make a fortune, have it behind Bethel, JW's would pay top dollar to be buried there.

  Are there any rules regarding funerals ???

  Are you allowed to donate your body parts to science or medical help ???

  The Watchtower is so concerned about association, I'm surprised they would allow you to be buried beside a "worldly person".

  So, the purpose of this thread is .........

  Are there any rules, regarding how a body is disposed of, and if you can use the Kingdom Hall, have a gathering afterwards ???

  Not much is ever mentioned in the Watchtower on this.

  A congregation of Jehovah’s servants should not hold the funeral service of one who dies while disfellowshiped; nor should a dedicated Christian officiate at such a funeral, regardless of the fact that the rest of the members of the family might be witnesses of Jehovah and in good standing. Neither should any of the congregation attend such a funeral.

  This shocked me actually! You cannot go to the funeral of a person that was DF-ed. Which seems strange because disfellowshipping is meant to move the perpetrator back to the hall. Fat chance that is going to happen! You do not go to the funeral for the person that has died, you go to comfort the remaining relatives and friends! Why punish them more?! Now you shun the JW relatives not the corpse!

  These are two very interesting posts! When I attended JW funerals in the past, every one was performed in a building that had a large crucifix on the outside!

  Sickening, isn't it, that one isn't supposed to attend the funeral of a DF'd person! Isn't death supposedly the wages sin pays? Therefore, the dead person has paid his debts. What happened to forgiveness in all this?
