CIA Director's Email Hacked

Someone is claiming that they hacked the CIA directors email and stole personal + restricted information. But we're not talking about Hillary :)

I don't know if it's real or not yet - it seems like it may be. Two things that were truly shocking if it is though:

1) The Email account that the Director of the CIA used was ... an AOL account !

2) AOL still exists !

I guess I could add a #3 which is that the Director of the CIA trust his security to staff at AOL ... holy smokes, if this is true then march him out of the building right now. Social hacks like this have been used time and time again, there are only a few tech companies that appear to have the necessary procedures and processed that would make me feel secure, especially if I was in such an important position.

It's probably a 10 year old email... Nobody uses AOL...

I use AOL ! (well I still have the email account) In the UK is been taken over by Talk Talk - service has been terrible ever since!

I know some will lump this in with Snowden & Manning, but I don't think that is right. It is one thing to expose the violations of the constitution committed by the Government, but a completely different thing to dox people. This is the type of thing that ruins careers and lives.

I'll reserve judgement for now, but this guy had better produce something of value. Otherwise, he is just causing needless suffering.

I don't know Simon, awhile back I got an email from the director of the FBI saying that I'd been scammed by a phoney Nigerian prince and all I had to do to get my $100,000,000 back was send all my bank info to his hotmail account and send a small handling fee to paypal.

You mean that wasn't legit?
