Regardless of your political afiliation, here is a question for you.
Lets say that for $1,000 a plate, you were able to have dinner with your Presidential candidate. You would have dinner with perhaps a few hundred up to one thousand others. You would enjoy a fine dinner, hear a couple of speeches, and get to meet your candidate.
Would you do it?
I would in a second.
No way! I don't have that kind of money.
If I had $1,000 to blow, I'd rather donate it to a worthwhile charity. The money would at least be used to help someone (or ones) directly.
I don't know what the political candidate would do with the $1000, or if he or she would even attempt to keep the promises they made at the dinner in turn for my support.
