Who are some of your favorites who are not so well unknown here?

My thinking on this subject is the stereo typing. For my most of my life I struggled to be in the crowd. What I realize it comes from within. Cause one can be lonely in the incrowd. I think what opened the door for me. When I met up with my high school buddies recently. I had'nt seen for 20 some years.

To watch my best friend trying to win points with the supposedly popular woman. And to see the struggle and pain to get that attention. " I said to her, you are okay the way your are!! " I don't know if she understood. But I could measure within myself I had no need to wave my arm and saying I am here. But those old messages keeping creeping in every now and then. Especially when its been so ingrained from childhood.

I don't have some favorites. I see this board as we all are favorites and whatever way we contribute to being here. And Being here is a statement .

Yep, that is life. I have fought that tooth and nail my whole life No one was telling me who and what to find interesting. My kids were well known but the like all kinds of people no matter how much money or social standing.

I've never been one who liked being in the "In" crowd, although at times I would find myself in it. Maybe it was because there was something about me the others liked, or people assumed I was like them, even though I felt different inside.

The ones on the "outer" often were the most interesting. They thought differently, had deeper perspectives on life, more creative, and were considered the "oddballs" of society. But I preferred their company to those who were more popular.

I think it's the same in any social situation, including on this board. Those who are the most popular aren't necessarily those that I think are the most interesting, or those I like the most. Often a poster with only 20 or so posts to their name will post something that makes me go "Wow", yet everyone else seems to overlook it.

I think it depends on whether our wavelength matches up with someone else or not. There are some who I have an instant rapport with, and others who just don't "get" me.

We're all different, and that's what I like about life.

OCW - I'm still trying to come to grips with the phrasing of your question, but, anyhow, I'm sure it will come to me in a moment of wisdom.

primitivegeniearse - cheeses, who defines weirdos and freaks, has no reason to converse with you, and, as far as kissing your arse is concerned, you can see the trouble I got into when I tried to kiss my own.
