survey: do more man or woman like cultural events and classical music?

  hello girls and boys!

  the media usually gives the impression that woman are more interested in cultural events than man. is that true? how many here like ballet, classical concerts, opera and art galleries etc.?

  i personally have not noticed that woman are more interested in culture than man. how about you?

  Hi Realist !

  To be honest, my friend, I hate all those things. I can't see the appreciation behind art at all, and ballet, opra etc are a definate no no.

  However, I think that men like these things as much as women ! Just not me.....

  Well, I'm female and I don't enjoy most of that stuff. I do enjoy museums and art galleries, but most other stuff is a bit too slow-paced for me and won't hole my interest for long.

  I love all those things. When I have to 'problem solve' or work on a very complex design I listen to the classics. I am always looking for a great piece of art. When I got divorced the ex took 95 paintings and other pieces we had aquired in 15 years. She left me 5. This was more depressing than her taking all the furnishings. In the five years since she has been gone I have replaced most of them. I love good books and poetry too! Art or folk fairs are great as well. Real men sip champagne, go to the Opera, and bar hop from 50ft power boats! Maverick

  i am not sure how well one can calculate a 95% confidence intervall with only 4 collected votes but so far it seems that woman are not more interested in culture than man

  Isn't that how the government knew that the public supported war in Iraq?

  I thought that they only asked 4 people from the local barracks.

  I pretty much agree with StinkyPantz. Art galleries are fun but ballet and classical music make me sleepy. I find opera to be actually painful, unless it's a rock opera.
