Well folks I will be spending the next 3 or 4 weeks in Calgary, Canada. I have a sister-in-law that lives in the NW part of the city. I was just wondering if there were any ex's that live in that neck of the woods. I have been there many times and it is a very nice city. I hear that the JWs are very strong there. Is that true? Talk to you all on my return.

no they are not very strong here, see them rarely, small amount considering the size of the city.

Well, I used to live in the NW part of Calgary, and I remember the congregations were just as clicky as anywhere else. The elders, or many of them, ruled like little Pharaohs, but I guess that's no different than anywhere else. One thing about that place that really stood out, is that no one ever had alcohol at any of the weddings - they were all dry and, needless to say :BOR-ING! Maybe it's changed, I don't know.
However, make sure you go visit Banff. It's about 70 miles from Calgary and is absolutely beautiful.
