Wow logansrun, that is very cool. I had an ex-girlfriend that lived in Mount Prospect, so I know EXACTLY where you are. I lived in the south Chicago suburbs in a town called Orland Park. Familiar with it?

Reborn, too bad you moved away! We probably went to the same assemblies and such (Hawthorne, Romeoville, and old Ashland Avenue (a looong time ago)!

Logan, glad to know you're not too far away. I know of some others in the Arlington Heights area. I'm around the Algonquin/Crystal Lake/Dundee/Elgin area and would love to make some new friends close to home!

I'm from central IL area, but my ex-husband, who is also an XJW just moved to Crystal Lake (from Round Lake Beach area). I can always see if he'd mind getting to know another XJW, if you'd like. (my first ex is also an XJW, and lives in Wheaton area, but he's told me before he wants to erase all memory of JWs and doesn't ever want to rehash it all, but my last ex sometimes likes to talk about it and how it has affected his life, etc. He is an ex-Bethelite)

Yep. I attended Circuit Assemblies at Romeoville, even helped put the rocks in the pond and construct the wooden bridge when Romeoville was first built.

I attended District Conventions at Hawthorne Racetrack (anyone remember the Gold Cup Room?) and then later Comiskey Park.

Hell I even remember attending the assemblies on Ashland WAYYY BACK when they had the plans for Romeoville laid out in the front hallway. Back then they had cooks and made good food. Remember that?
