Looking through my photo album, I found a group picture of my book study of 1990. No digital cameras then. I could have scanned the picture, but who would want to see people you don't know. What struck me was how many of that original group are left.

Of the 22 people on that picture:

    - 1 Died (old age)

    - 9 Are DF'd or inactive since years

    - 4 moved, so I don't know what became of them

-2 divorced and then DA'd and 1 commited suicide

    So only half are left.

I wonder how many will be left to receive their reward?

Wow! That is a sobering report. I wonder how the cult as a whole fits into this pattern? Something to think about. Maverick

Your wrong JH. I bet if you polled the people on this board who have read this post, most if not all would like to see a picture. Visual images enhance a story.

Scan the picture and post it so we can see the people your talking about. You could also be kind enough to take out the time to inform us once you post the picture which people died, were DA/DF'ed, etc. as you stated in the original post.

You claim we are not interested? You took the time to compose this post to initiate the topic, so surely you are interested enough to expand on it.

    Awwww OK.

I'll have to go to my pop's house across the street for that. You'll notice a different IP.

I'm the 5th one to the right in the back. In other words start on the right side of the picture and count 5. The 4th one, or the one to my left next to me commited suicide, his wife is in front of him. She quit as well as the 2 sisters in front of them.

On the left side that old lady died 2 years ago. The one with the dog also quit 5 years ago. The one to my right was only a study and came only a few times. The one beneith the clock moved to montreal. He was an elder and is no more. His wife is in front of him. The brother with the glasses next to him was also an elder and is no more. The brother next to the door with not much hair is an elder today. He was the one who brought me to the truth.

And the one taking the picture also quit.

Thanks for taking the time to post the picture JH.

It paints a very vivid picture and makes it more interesting when you can look at the people you are talking about.

It appears as if your entire Book Study group has faded away into history. Between deaths and leaving the JW organization, little to nothing remains.

May the same results happen to Book Studys and Kingdom Halls everywhere. Down with the Watchtower Society and the cult known as Jehovah's Witnesses.

    You know what Reborn,

That congregation doesn't even exist anymore. Too little people attended at the end. Only 35 people left out of the 135 it once had 3 years before.

Those 35 left were sent to another congregation.

And the one taking the picture also quit.

lol....{{{{sigh}}}} I don't know why, but that struck me as very funny..... both seen and unseen left the organization.

Thanks for taking the time to scan and share the photo. I agree with Reborn... it really brings the story to life. It's like any old photo you look at, you kind of wonder what those people are up to today and wonder what they would say about that photo and that time in their lives......

That was a big book study! Ours had 9-12 people max.

Those outfits the gals are wearing are what the sisters who came to my door last year were wearing.
