Some of you may remember, in some of my earlier posts, that I had lived in the Philippines.

This was back in the late 80s.

I was out of the Borg then, still.....when I had the opportunity to travel; I had an excellent paying job and was afforded ample time off, I went to the Philippines for an extended period of time.

Anyways, tonight I just found out, one of my favourite FM stations from Manila, is on-line: thank goodness!!!!

    I loved these guys: DWNU-FM 107.5Mhz

It was, then, back in the late 80s, very alternative, when alternative meant something, and they played tons of Aussie bands, that never got played over here.

It was great. Geez, I just forgot to post the link (BRB with that).

My living experience in the Philippines, will go down in my life as: unforgettable.

Driving around the hot sweaty dirty city of Manila, experiencing things I never dreamed possible, and a radio station that pumped out the coolest tunes: 24/7.

    Dunno, just reminiscing.

Tuning into this station as I type: DWNU-FM Manila. WOW!

good stuff, rayzor. just listening to 'requests show'. wud be cool to e-mail a request if possible.

interesting note: although halfway across the world, they have the same regional 'accent' as us. i found this to be true in LA as well (that is la, la, in cal. usa). what do you think?

    anyhoo, off to JazzFest.
