I heard that a few surprises are in store for those attending the Sydney convention later this year 2003. I heard this 3rd hand from someone attending the Geneva convention recently. I was just wondering if someone could clue me in?

Hello and welcome.
If you go to the "Search" link at the top of this page, and type in "Convention" you should be able to find several threads that deal with the conventions that have already been held in the Northern Hemisphere. Some from this board have attended conventions, and survived to tell the tale!!

I heard that, surprisingly, the WBTS will be recommending doing more in field service, studying and making sure you don't miss any meetings.
Seriously, the only surprising thing to me is that anyone actually attends these pointless gatherings.

My brother is visiting Hobart in Dec. First 3 days of his holiday will be the convention. Then he's coming around to destroy a bottle of Glen. I'll have to ask him what he learnt.
