The WTS Finally Gave Jesus Some Color

My wife brought home the "Learn From The Great Teacher" thingy and I observed some things about the cover.

1) Jesus and the children on the cover have tan skin. 'bout time!

2) For a 31 year old and a perfect man, Jesus has some serious "crows feet" going on. For a man who can grow limbs for or remove blindness from people, you'd think Jesus could remove the crows feet from the side of his eyes.

3) In true Governing Body fashion, Jesus' left hand is doing one thing while his right hand is doing another. His right hand is visible on the shoulder of one of the little girls but his left hand is suspiciously hidden and is no doubt touching some part (which part?) of the other girl who is leaning on him (whose elbow is awfully close to ANOTHER part of Jesus body). Hmm....

Yes Jesus seems to look a little better these days. I recall that at one time he was not even allowed to have a beard (then they got new light). I think they are almost there; now they just need to get over their vampire-like reaction to a cross and we could have one fine looking dead JC. We await the next new light with baited breath.

I must say this comment seems really odd to me. Why would you say something like that about a child?

Allow me to clarify what my point is: In light of the child-abuse scandals that the JWs are facing, I find it a bit ironic that the artist would render the picture the way they did. Thus, I am not talking about what the child is doing, rather I am saying that the illustration looks a bit peculiar to me, especially with all of accusations of child abuse/child cover-up that the WTS faces.
