I'm having problems with the format of this board. I have two computers connected via a wireless connection. One has Win98SE and the home base with XP. The one with XP many times come up with a bunch of characters that I can't read when I log on. Sometimes if I refresh several times it comes up with a format that has large letters and goes completely across the screen and I don't have the option to Post a new topic, only a reply to someone else's post.
On the Win98 computer it was working normally but I think I may have clicked accidentally on the Google Adds on the right of the screen and now all I can get is the Goggle Adds on the left and no discussion board at all, even when I log off and back on again. I deleted the cookies which I think stores the format of the type of display you want, XP, normal etc. It was working fine. What happened???? Any ideas.
There used to be a poster here who went by" ED" I believe. He is a wiz at that stuff. You could PM him if he's still around or wait for some of the regular team of lazy bastards to get out of bed and help you out.

I have a laptop, with Win2K... When I use it in my docking station at work, I have the same problem you have with your XP machine. However, at home this machine works fine. I also have an XP machine at home that never messes up. I am starting to think that it is related to the "Filtering" software, ie, Firewall, Security add-in, or something like that. I can't ask at work, since its not business related. What I do, which usually gets the page to load right, is use the back button, then the forward button on the browser. I think everything makes it to cache on the machine, but the header gets misinterpreted due to the filtering software.
Thanks for you comments. I finally got both of them working by deleting cookies, using ctl f5 and a few other tricks, but something is not right, because I have to minupulate it to get it to work. Maybe it will clear up sometime later when Simon does some maintenance work.
