Inspired by a previous post I wrote and thought it deserved a place of its own .
I hope it helps people on their journey out of the WT/JW religion .
Their is no going back after discovering the "truth" about the WT/JW religion.
Its the path of freedom from enslavement to a man made religious organization that was born in America, a nation that has spawned numerous charlatan religious organizations, especially in the 1700`s to 1900`s .and even beyond.
Yep! Once it starts, you can't go back.
Like a House of Cards. Once you pull a card it will start to collapse.
A persons mind - once expanded, cannot return to its original dimensions.

This is SO true Smiddy3 ! When I think back and analyse my eventual total departure from the Org, I realise that over the years a number of grains of real truth had got through to me, enough to cause me Cognitive Dissonance, and to eventually examine my beliefs.
I could not "unsee" those things.
As to people jumping into the fire from the frying pan, as mentioned above, this is because they clearly have seen the org to be a sham, but have not developed the Art of Critical Chinking, along with the skill of properly Fact Checking. This leaves them wide open to be manipulated by other scams, both Religious and Conspiracy Theories etc. it is the equivalent of someone coming off hard drugs and then falling in to Alcoholism, just SO silly !
Such people are now free to find Real Truth about all sorts of matters, but squander that freedom out of laziness, or an emotional desire to find something warm and fuzzy. I would rather live in the Real World, hard though it is quite often.
So true....one cannot unlearn what you know. Frankly, there have been times when i felt it would have suited me better to be back in the cong. That is for family reasons and social and Initially I missed the sense of purpose, what I considered spirituality , and frankly the status of being an elder in the congregation.
However I could never do it.never convince myself that the JW take on things was correct - not now after coming so far.
Once you understand that the GB/FDS are just men and not directed/inspired the whole house of cards comes crashing down.
The fact their self appointment in 1919 is based on 1914, 2520 years from 607 BC and that date is easily disproved as wrong for the destruction of Jerusalem then its quite easy to cause the house of cards to come down for others if they research 586/607.
You can't go back after you know the truth about all of that.
The WTS wants to mentally indoctrinate people with their doctrines and bible interpretations so they can mentally exploit and manipulate people to their will, desire and sustain a semblance of power over people, while preaching a false gospel of Jesus Christ as a practicing agenda.
"The Truth" of Christianity is in the bible , not the Watchtower Corporation.

i found once i faced the fact i simply did not believe in any god--the watchtower society simply didnt have any credibility.
The WTS/JWS has been a long stand act of profiteering through false prophesying..
Nevermore so than now can this be acknowledged, they still front themselves with
lies but behind the curtain is the real truth.
Preaching the Gospel without accurate truthful adherence is sinning and is not righteous in the eyes of god..
