Prayers for special servants

My very much in wife commented with no prompting that they have a hierarchy in prayers. Bless the GB, co, elders, pioneers. If the ill or shutins are mentioned that is all, not so much as a phone call let alone a visit. I wont live long enough to change her; she also commented how i dont seem to have a strong belief now.

The whole idea about being a JW is where you rank. Nothing else matters.

There has been, from Russell's day forward, a level for who is who. The role one plays is important in the pecking order. But believe it or not....not here!

We often follow suit by sharing how many circuit roles we have played, talks given, who we know at Bethel, the years spent pioneering etc. The reality is what we lost being an active JW . Once again that just draws attention to how dumb we were.

The higher you rose the dumber you were.

Does anyone on the GB even pretend to be smart? Maybe the guy who was searching for the best price on a dozen bottles of scotch?

How about those idiots who are the hand maidens to the GB? The helpers? All men of course. Everyone of which warn of a troubled future.

Religious people love to use the quaint expression, "our thoughts and prayers are with you"!

Do they really believe that? But it's a nice thought!

That is something that always put me off about the fake humble prayers. It was always, "Jehovah help those who are ill or shut-in to know that we miss them, and we look forward to when we can see them here at the Kingdom Hall again." It was NEVER help US to go SHOW THEM we miss them. Just a phony "Jehovah help them". I guess they salve their conscience, if they have one, by saying those hollow meaningless words, and forget what their Bible says, "Faith WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD."

Yeah, it pisses me off when they flap their gums and do nothing.
