The two witness rule

The 2WR is not only for child molestation. I had a couple of cousins who would break into homes in a vacation area and steal things like guns. I called the police and an elder told me that I should have never contacted the police but an elder. I basically said never was going to happen that way and they did not do anything about it in my case. But it shows that they want to have everything in their control.

They wanted you to only tell the elders that way the law would never hear about it and it would never become public..Never mind protecting the community or other people.

That's why they are over-extending the practise of this "two witness" rule. To protect the image of JWdom.

so stealing guns, and what did they do with them? On sell them?.. this makes for illegal in a big way.

I would have told the Elder: "No; concealing a felony is a crime. Since I am a Christian, it is imperative that I respect the 'superior authorities."
