I just watched athlete a on Netflix. It moved me to tears. It was about the cover up by usa gymastics of child sex abuse at the hands of Dr nassar.
Despite numerous allegations made about him, the leadership turned a blind eye. Now why does all of this ring a bell?
This doco caught my eye just before I logged on today and have it down to watch it soon.
Another show I saw last week on catch up TV was "Insight" Belonging was the title and it dealt with people who had issues with belonging in society and one womans experience with a fundamentalist xian cult was very similar to JW`s.
Athlete A is a great documentary. Wife and I watched it. Yes, the similarities to Watchtower's obsession with protecting the mothership is uncanny.
I did sit down with the wife also to watch it and its almost unbeleivable how he got away with it for so long and to what extent the organization went too to cover it all up ?
Pleading the 5th is a good sign one is guilty as sin.
