So even in the 1st century it was "all about the money"! Ananias and Sapphira are executed because they withheld some money from the governing body WTF! Other bible characters get to murder, lie, steal, break the sabbath, screw another man's wife, screw your wife's handmaiden, burn you own kids in a fire, etc. and they get forgiveness. But cheat the gb out of a few dollars, and it's immediate death!
