As thousands of drones are being bought by all kinds of people, sooner or later we may face a drone controlled by a moron annoying us. What to do? Here's one solution.

Or, you can become a drone hunter, as in this YT video:

Can you see some confrontations ahead?

A shotgun will do the trick just fine, although US law is still trying to figure out the legal aspects. I think a rock will also work, although it might be more work. If you think you are in danger or your privacy has been invaded the legal issues will be easier to navigate. If the drone is carrying a weapon, or video taping your underage child those issues clear up, at least to some extent.

There will come a day when these aircraft have blue flashing lights , a microphone and a lethal charge.

there is a concern here of quad-copters being flown near airports and safety issues with real planes but the concern is only that. But once they become popular then some govt dept will put in rules and licences which like so many things will only affect the obedient.

Me? I think they are great. Huge uses for fun and for farming looking for stock, aerial photography, looking for lost people etc.

ZAPPA-ESQUE. I guess that would be a drone operating a drone then.

Truly so, Zeb, and given the (occasional) problem with some half-brain aiming a laser at an aircraft, its probably only a matter of time before a drone collides with a landing/taking off aircraft.

They are already demonstrating their usefulness in many areas. ... but, its the half-brains that will make them problematical. I'm not sure of the legality of the solutions in my first post. Say a neighbour purposely persistently flys a camera drone over my backyard's airspace - can I really destroy his property with impunity?

Here's a list of what are claimed to be the best/most useful makers.
