Maybe we should all setup accounts to automatically "donate" 1 cent per month. The banking fees for each transaction would cost the WTBTS more than they'd get resulting in a net negative effect.

Imagine: if millions of us did this, for only 12 cents per person, per year, we could cause the WTBTS to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars each month. (Of course the money would end up in the coffers of the various credit card companies and banks we all use, but it might be worth it).

Donating a penny per month would be a good way to run up charges that could waste much washtowel funds. Of course, there is a good chance that the banks would start charging us, not the washtowel, for this. Be careful about that possibility. And there is a chance the washtowel will start suing people--or being the reason the banks start charging the publishers and not the washtowel.

Of course, it is paramount not to donate any physical money for any reason to the washtowel. Not even that ice cream money. You find a penny and cannot reasonably trace its owner, you keep it (legal in most areas of the world) and do not drop it into the Worldwide Damnation Fund. For those who regularly donate, stop at once--you can save up the money for a month, and then go to your coin shop and spend that much on silver (you keep it). Take a good look at the silver you are now holding. And think, each month, you had been wasting this amount of silver. The penny a month is not going to be much--that is, unless the washtowel arranges with the bank to charge you the fees instead of paying said fees themselves.

I've just noticed that the UK letterhead has changed; no mention of The Watchtower at all! Is this due to the current UK Charity Commission investigation? Have they changed the name of their financial side of the organisation again?

How come there is a different letterhead for Ireland? That branch doesn't even exist anymore as far as I'm aware!

No. I don't believe it is anything like that at all - but cool for picking it up.

As I understand it, in the UK it is specifically the IBSA - the International Bible Students Association - that arranges the annual conventions, rather that the 'Watch Tower'.

Proof?

The International Bible Students Association Report of the Trustees for the Year Ended 31st August 2016 specifically highlights that they arrange convention a number of times in the report:

I don't believe the equivalent Watch Tower Trustees Report actually mentions the conventions at all:

In addition, below is a photo of a couple of example convention programmes that clearly state that they are 'arranged and directed by the International Bible Students Association.'
