What attracted you/parents to JW land to join ???

my mom joined because my dad was one
my dad was raised as one
i suppose his parents were raised that way, too

Get this .. my mum had a hard life up until one witness woman called on her one day. Mum said she would always hide behind the curtains till they were gone. But this one day the door was wide open and mum was practically already at the door. Mum said she wasn't interested and the old crone called out as mum was closing the door "IF you don't listen, you will die!" Well that caught mums interest enough and now we were all lead into suffering for it.

My mom's sister joined and then she and her younger sister became dubs. No idea why though - which is odd, don't you think your parents would have told you about such an important even in their lives? As to my dad, his mom was one and his dad was studying and my dad supposedly started studying to prove the dubs wrong and amazingly wasn't able to. Of course, it's easy to lie to someone if you a) do it convincingly and b) the victim has no idea that you're talking in circles because they have no real religious knowledge and are not even 18 years old.

My mom was born in 1914. She began studying in the mid-forties and she's still at it. What else was there back in her days? My mom would have been a high ranking commander in the military and a strict one at that!
