"Japanese researchers working toward a cure for blidness showed off an artificial retina prototype at the International Joint Conference on

Neural Networks here recently.... Recently the University of Southern California successfully implanted a 16-electrode retinal array

that gave partial sight to patients blinded by retinitis pigmentosa."

They've got a long way to go admittedly

but who would care to doubt that they will be able to accomplish a miracle in ten years or so?

Every little advance makes the Watchtower one bit more irrelevant, one bit more meaningless

and the human race one bit more hopeful.

    Metatron,

That is pretty cool, eh? I watched a show on television the other day, I think it was Oprah.

Anyways, there is another device for people who are blinded by bad cornea's.

It is really a contact lens, that is filled with water, and fixes scratched or cloudy cornea's.

It was amazing to watch these people put them in and see for the first time in their lives.

    Science. A beautiful thing!!
