Me and my good lady are off to France for a week tonight for some much needed R&R,
we have a family cottage that we can use in the Dordogne or as you chaps over the Pond call it the DOOR DOG NEE.
Hopefully the weather will keep up and we can make good use of the pool.
I fear that the chateau neuf de pape will come in very handy.

Her Ladyship and I occasionally take a gite in Poiteau Charentes in the Cognac region. Evenings by the pool as the bats zoom in to drink, kingfishers and hoopoes and a sky so black that you can see the satellites fly over.
Now if only we could persuade the French to serve beer in proper sized glasses.

I bet you'll need the pool. The weather station is saying that it is 100 F in Paris right now!!! wow, it is hot for you guys.
