The worst form of punishment for any major crime on the planet is death.

However, the second option of imprisonment is way more powerful and popular all over the world.

The most powerful form of imprisonment is called solitary confinement.

By shunning people this is what you inflict on your loved ones who no longer want to be the same religion as you,

Is this what a loving god would do, or a man made organization?

    Kool-Aid anyone?

Jesus ate with sinners. In doing so he was not condoning their harmful ways but seeking to educate them. It was the Pharisees who criticised him and he even tried to help them too.

Although Jesus was attacked, he wasn't lonely. Loving, kind and merciful people who wanted to know about the God of Abraham were drawn to him. Jesus explained that if he was treated badly by apostates it'd be the same for anyone else acting in a genuine Christian manner. Speaking from experience, the shunning policy of the apostates (WTBS) fails. Big time. They are the losers if they want to get rid of those who care about them.

If you are stuck down a collapsed mine-shaft, you don't fire guns at the rescue workers who have come to get you out.

Shunning is an ancient way to treat people who have different beliefs or practices.

The term ostracism comes from the practice of writing a person's name on pieces of pottery called ostracons in ancient Greece and tallying up how many had voted for a person to leave Athens.

How come JWs believe shunning is from Jehovah through the faithfull slave if they did it in Greece two and a half thousand years ago and they worshipped Zeus and Hera?

Apparently Jehovah right up until 1914 according to JW`s Satan could come and go as he pleased before Jehovah in heaven . JOB states this and Satan wasn`t cast out of heaven till 1914.

    So Jehovah never shunned Satan

Jesus never shunned Satan according to JW`s and he even spent 40 days and nights with him up on a mountain and he too hob-nobbed with him up in heaven also.

The illustration in the Bible of the prodigal son proves shunning is wrong.

There is your 2 or 3 witness rule proving shunning is wrong.

Yes there’s some scripture that says these things will not be called to mind. That’s why I don’t get why Jehovah's Witnesses are always bummed out that none of his kids are in the org. Isn’t god going to wipe their mind clean anyways? So you will forget all your loved ones and maybe get to have new children assuming you don’t die before Armageddon because if you do and you are resurrected supposedly you can’t marry or have kids ?
