Great review of a truly awful movie.
JWs will eat it up with awe and wonder as evidence of the great and powerful movie making abilities of GB/Jehovah.

Thanks. These propaganda films are loaded with so much BS that's difficult not to point out immediately. I'm really curious to see what the 2016 year subject will be.
So far we have:
"The Prodigal Returns" - How young adults should act.
"These Words Must Be on Your Heart" - How parents should act.
"What is True Love" - How people dating and getting married should act.

Next up:
2016: "Honor Jehovah With Your Valuable Things": 2 old-tiimers are contrasted. One gets discouraged and becomes inactive, then dies old & alone. The other starts to get discouraged, then comes back to the congregation, dies, and leaves all his money to the WTS.
2017: "Out of the Mouths of Babes": 8 year old Billy has no interest in getting baptized, until he sees 6 year old Suzy get baptized and start pioneering. So he goes thru the questions and gets baptized before his 9th birthday.
2018: "Nor Men Who Lie With Men": Anthony gets a job at a clothing store. All his worldly workmates wear tight pants every day. Anthony is tempted to buy a pair, until he sees Frederique suddenly rushed to the hospital, because his tight trousers shut off circulation to his feet, which are then amputated.

"Our daughter, Rebecca, got caught up in after school activites ..."
Interesting the way it's worded - got caught up in. Not "made new friends" or "learnt social skills" in after school activities.
Yes, laydees and gennalmen, as Oubliette often says, it's a cult.

Don't give them ideas!

I had to watch this movie last night, after seeing snippets in your review (well done!). They should have gotten Kirk Cameron to play the dad, haha. The WT propaganda is surely changing to suit the times, and resembles American evangelicals more than anything else.
