So my cousins in Seattle have had their regional convention I believe (at the Tacoma Dome). My cousin has a sister that has been inactive for 40 years but doesn't ever speak against the JW's but still inactive nonetheless. So this weekend they are going out on his cousin's boat, her husband is a deacon in the local Episcopalian church. Their adult daughter is going as well she's baptized too. So what is the new rules about shunning of inactive ones? My cousin is an elder so I bet the rules don't apply to him!!! Any info would be appreciated.
The latest conventions and the new shunning policy?

There is no new shunning policy.
Simply regurgitating the same old stuff

There is no new shunning policy.
AGREED.
Seems to me that every thing said about it was all hype.

Plus...they have a boat....how can you shun someone when you want a free ride on their boat? Entitlements trump shunning any day.

In literally any other community, that combination of words would have no meaning whatsoever. :smirk:
