Grants to Watchtower?

Can someone help dissecting this? I stumbled upon this on another forum. Links to a site that claims to track non-profit tax forms. By searching on their tools, I was able to find what I understand to be grants made to the watchtower from other organization. There some clues to its validity, as the relation between the Riley fund can be found thru this tool

The site in question is from "The Non-Profit Network", part of the "Center for Public Integrity"

The individual on this other forum ran a search for three of the most well know JW corporations and found quiet a list of other organizations that apparently have the Watchtower as the recipients of their grants. Unfortunately the link to the tax forms does not work but the Tax ID is there so it should be a matter of searching some more.

Anyone who can confirm this for us?

Around here giving to the United Way or in any way supporting it was a no-no for JW's because they support gay and equal rights for LGBT groups, etc.

If they're getting money from the United Way then this could be another UN scandal in the making and there ain't no library cards this time.

Then again it's okay to take blood fractions from donated blood, but not to give blood at blood drives, so go figure.

Have I mentioned that this the WT hierarchy are a bunch of filthy-lucre loving, money-grubbing hypocrites?!

ÏI just did a quick look.

    1. I only found 4 grants to WTBS of Pennsylvania, not 6. Your link is not working for me.
    2. Some of these grants are received from organizations that manage grants. I.e. I send my money to that organisation, tell them to manage it, and send some money to Watchtower every now and then. The same organisation will of course also manage grants for other people, who might have specified other charities as beneficiaries. There is no link between Watchtower and other charities receiving money through (not from) the grant-managing organisation.

Edit: there's 6 indeed for Watch Tower of Pennsylvania ....and 4 more for Watchtower of New York. Mind the gap ;-)

The link only takes you to the search tool. There you should type the names you are looking for. The site I got it from showed screenshots for (and I have ran the same searches myself)

WatchTower Bible and Tract Society of New York

Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pensylvania (the space matters)

    Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The bigger one is what I understand is the process in the UK, that is, that UK charities receive 25% gift from the UK govt for donations received.

So, if 50,000,000, pounds are donated, the govt donates 12,500,000.

    Is this an accurate understanding?
