Are you one of those rare nonconformist? I try to be,, I think it is healthy for the brain not to be a conformist. Not to simply do what conforms to the masses make the brain work more as opposed to doing what the masses do. Becoming who you are instead of just a cog in the wheel, part of the herd. Cult conformity leads to brain shrinkage,,, doing what the Watchtower corporation tell you to do and not thinking for yourself, and they don't have good motives,,it is simply corporation survival,,(run by a bunch of delusional ass hole called the Governing Body).

Interesting thoughts, video and topic. I think that either extreme is unhealthy. I try to make a compromise between my own norm and respecting other people's norm and values. Sometimes it is in my best interest to not give priority and conform, since sometimes that is the means to an end.

My current supervisor behaves exactly the way many of the brainwashed women in the congregation did. However, she is my supervisor, so it's in my best interest to feed to her nonsense regardless of me knowing better.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

5% of people think. 10% think they think. 85% are sacred to death if they have to think.

My wife if off to the big convention this week. I suggested to her that planned 'demonstrations' in the US will result in riots and these will affect the wt thinking and its finances. Thus the upsets on the American scene as bad as they are will become paranoia exported to jw around the world to further burden them to do more more more and give more.
