Most of us are aware of the number of times the WTBTS has made predictions that have failed to come to pass... 1881, 1914, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1935, 1945, the BIG 1975, to mention just a few and there was also one in 1983, I am led to believe? I would be interested to hear more about that one as I am not aware of this one!
Is it true that about 6 years ago the WTBTS announced that it would be making no more "claims" about when we could expect the end of the world... at least it would no longer be specifying dates. Can anyone shed any light on this as I am unfamiliar with this announcement. Obviously the WT does not want another 1975-style disaster on their hands!
