Mine is Bouzov Castle in Moravia. Built in the early 1300's. It wasn't too fancy, kinda rough hewn. Really took me back in time. I'll never forget it. What's yours?

Don't have a favorite, but am fascinated by them and have downloaded a bunch of photos of different ones. So many questions. Like... What did they do for foundations? What did they use for roofing? Did they use mortar or are the stones/blocks/etc. just held in place by gravity?
Where are the leaks in the roof? How do I pay for repairs? Would the government like to take ownership of this pile back? Who is going to mow the lawn? How many wedding are booked this year? You just can't get the staff.

This is a fascinating documentary on how a few scholars gor out of the classroom and started building a castle using only medieval tools.
