I've been told that this book is a good read. Has anyone on here read it and can say what's in it or what's it about? It is quite expensive to buy. Thanks.

Like with everything else, judge it for yourself. Take what you like and leave the rest. I read the book, and know people who not only know the author, but got sued by him for reasons regarding some of the things he claims and teaches. He lost the law suit. It's not a bad read.

It's a 4 star on goodreads.
I personally like "Twisted Scriptures" a book helping to explain how anyone can twist the scripture to meet the criteria of a high control group, by Mary Alice Chronaloger. She was inside a Catholic cult herself in the 70s.

I liked Steve Hassan's Combatting Cult Mind Control. The edition I have doesn't have a section on JW's but I think the latest one does. It's not expensive either!
