In 2018, the National Redress Scheme was launched to provide support for victims of institutional child abuse. But six groups, including the Jehovah’s Witnesses, have refused to sign up and the government isn’t holding back. -

Hey....They don't mind be a member of the United Nations.....but something about supporting victims of child abuse forget about it!
Crazy pills anyone?

There has been a lot of coverage by the media here in Australia barb.& Joe ,both on TV and newspapers about those who have not joined the redress scheme and some scathing attacks on the JW Organization.
TV presenter lisa Wilkinson pulled no punches in her report about the JW`s telling viewers to remember this next time JW`s come knocking on your door.
The South Australian senator Anne Ruston was also scathing on those who did not join up to the scheme as was the Prime Minister Scot Morrison.
I think the WT/GB/JW.Org. in Australia has done a bloody good job of bringing reproach not only on Jehovah`s name but also the organization that is supposed to honour and uphold his name .
And they have violated their own stated belief of "Being obedient to the Superior authorities" Rom.chapt. 13
And are to be judged as " going against the arrangement of God."

Maybe the Org is reluctant to sign up because they’re scared they’ll get tapped dry.

SMIDDY3:
I agree that the JW religion (and those other groups) not cooperating with the redress scheme is not showing ‘obedience to the superior authorities’ (Romans 13).
VIDIOT:
You may have a point.
