If there is NO guarantee of a reward, then why do JWs even have the Memorial?

  Well, the other sheep can not partake of the emblems and the 144,000 have NO GUARANTEE for a heavenly reward either. So what's the use? If there is no guarantee of a heavenly reward, then why have the Memorial at all?

  3 Do those of the other sheep need to

  know the names of all those who are

  anointed today? The short answer is no.

  Why not? Because even if someone has

  received the heavenly calling, that person

  has received only an invitation, not

  a final confirmation of the reward. That

  iswhy Satan raises up “false prophets . . .

  to mislead, if possible, even the chosen

  ones.” (Matt. 24:24) No one can know

  whether an anointed Christian will receive

  his heavenly reward until Jehovah

  judges that person to be worthy of such

  a prize. Jehovah makes this determination

  and gives himthe final sealing either

  sometime before he dies faithfully or

  sometime before the outbreak of “the

  great tribulation.” (Rev. 2:10; 7:3, 14) It

  would be pointless, then, for anyone

  now living on earth to try to ascertain

  who among God’s servants will eventually

  be part of the 144,000.[

  Doubtfully Yours

  The Memorial, assemblies, meetings, all things JW are nothing more than the makings of 'community', an association of like-minded individuals in this journey we call life.

  Take for example last night. There we were all listening to the same old speech about things that we humans cannot really comprehend, lots of eyes just glazed over with boredom; who really cares though? What we get really happy about is the conversation, laughter, picture moments, future fun plans being made right then and there, joyful human interactions. This is what many a JW only cares about. Who cares about stupid particulars opened to interpretation like the very biblical text? I sure do not, and the more time I spend among this Spanish JW group, the more I understand that other JWs do not care either.

  Hanging out happily together was the only game in town we cared about, and last night it all turned out very nice.😉

  That's why other Christian based faiths probably have it right that all dedicated Christians should partake, not just the supposedly and self assuming anointed. .

  Its one of the many stupid and inaccurate doctrines this religious organization created.

  I have to agree with you Doubtfully Yours it was never about the doctrines, never about what the Society taught and when they taught it or changed it. It was about the people and only when my wife and I fully realized we could no longer accept the core beliefs we could no longer march in line......... we came to understand that while the associations were keeping us in we had a life to lead and the cost of those associations was too high. As most have experienced the associations, friendships even family love....... were conditional.
