Serious effort this time - I have searched ebay and google. There are tobacciana sites and they all seem to refer to them as 'cigarette holders' , but, like yourself, I do feel that they have a peculiar name.

Those long filter thingies that women used to smoke cigarettes from that were inserted into one end are called "cigarette holders" ....nothing more, to my knowledge....and I there and saw 'em used....used to have one myself a long time ago....
