I don't like Micheal Moore at all but he produced this doc and it is exactly what I have been saying about the renewable energy myth for years.

I hate to have to agree with you. You cannot dislike Moore any more than I.
I just watched this. It is a must see for anyone interested in "green energy." It'll be too bad if some people see the words Michael Moore and dismiss it although it would be interesting to see the reactions of Michael Moore fans. Michael Moore produced the documentary, he didn't make it.
So what's the TLDR of the documentary?
I will have to watch this later when i can spare an hour 40 min ,shouldn`t be too hard with this lockdown .
So what's the TLDR of the documentary?
The greenest thing about green energy is the money corporations are pocketing via taxpayer subsidy. Green energy uses just as much, if not more, fossil fuel than proponents claim green energy offsets. Green energy leaves a trail of environmental destruction wherever it goes. There is nothing sustainable about sustainable energy.
The documentary also lays out a case that serious population control and a shift away from consumption economies is necessary to prevent future, planet wide cataclysm.
I knew the Green energy was a myth to some extent, but not to this extent. All so called green energy uses more fossil fuel than if they just used coal or NG direct. Wind and solar are not that efficient and there has to be a fossil electric plant idling to be turned on at night and during low sun or to just run with it to make up the short fall. I knew that Photo Voltaic was very inefficient. The doc said about 4 to 8 percent efficient. I did not know that the high efficient PV panels that NASA uses are 100 bucks a square inch. I also knew that wind generators are only good for about 20 years and that they use a lot of fossil fuel to produce. The blades are made of wood and fiberglass and get damaged relatively easily from hitting dust and particles at over 100 MPH as they turn. I did not know that the sun reflectors in the desert used Natural Gas to start up in the AM. The biggest thing I did not know is when places like Germany said they are 40 to 80 percent on renewable energy that wind and solar is only a small few percent of that and the biggest is the Bio fuel which is burning trees, wood , garbage, tires ect. This is not really a renewable but has been classified as such. Also the money from the Koch Brothers to the Sierra club and other so called green movements shows its all a scam for the low IQ to buy into.
