Kent Refugee Action Network's Bridget Chapman, (idiot!) who works directly with asylum seekers arriving by boat, said the Home Office's response was "disgraceful". She said the government's "very tough talk" did not "take account of international law," citing the UN's 1951 Refugee Convention, which states that "refugees should not be penalised for their illegal entry". She added: "There is no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker."
Question for Ms Chapman: How on earth can someone who travels from France continue to be termed a refugee?" Is life that bad over there?
Wake up dear - you and all other like-minded eejits; anyone who comes to the UK via E.U. countries ceases by definition to be classed as a " refugee." READ THE FOLLOWING:
Refugee
Refugees are persons who are outside their country of origin for reasons of feared persecution, conflict, generalized violence, or other circumstances that have seriously disturbed public order and, as a result, require international protection. (France does that!) The refugee definition can be found in the 1951 Convention and regional refugee instruments, as well as UNHCR’s Statute. (https://refugeesmigrants.un.org/definitions)
