Jehovah's Witnesses use of 2,000-year-old protocols when dealing with abuse complaints has been condemned in a report by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Last year, the commission examined the experiences of two abuse survivors within the Jehovah's Witness organisation.
It also looked at evidence from case files that recorded reports or complaints of abuse by just over 1,000 Jehovah's Witnesses. READ MORE:

Doc, I shared it straight from the ARC. It could have been Fox News and it wouldn't have made a difference.
This is perhaps the most shameful issue the organization has ever had to face in the nearly 140 years since its legal incorporation in Pennsylvania.
2017 is shaping up to be a pivotal year in JW organization's need to re-think its policies and practices on responding to allegations of child sexual abuse.
Stay tuned for March 2017 when JW organization will again appear before the Royal Commission for a follow-up on the organization's preparedness to follow the Court's ruling. I doubt there will be much will within the upper ranks of the organization to fight it.
And this is NOT an instance of the organization being able to advise the rank and file to "wait on Jehovah" for direction on this issue when it is blatantly obvious a secular court is detailing how to protect children.
