Today talking with my JW daughter (the one that told me she will never shun me, no matter how

much pressure they put on her) and I heard my 4 year old grandson in the background. So I told her

say hi to him fro me. She told him and he yelled out over the phone, I love you grand Pa.

I hate that organization and the damage it cause for families.

I read stories from you guys about the shunning , not knowing your grandkids and it's

painful. I also have another daughter( JW) and grand kids, haven't seen or talk to in 15 years..

So sorry for your situation James. How did they have the nerve to print that Awake a few years back that said no one should have to choose between their family or religion. How do they rationalize that?

Are you dAd or dfd? The reason I ask is it seems to be about 50 % of jws that shun just faded JW's family members may be less.

SafeAthome:I would love to see that article"should have to choose between their family or religion.

    sparky1:Yes so beautiful.

Crazyguy:DF in 1986, I'am sure that's why there is a big problem in my JW family members with

the shunning. They believe I will someday come to my senses and come back after 30 years.LOL

I am so sorry your family has been torn apart by this religion.

Never a JW but at one point my son, his girlfriend and their baby (out all of you do not jump on me, that is their business not mine) were living with me all expenses paid for 9 months. Their behavior got so bad I changed the locks on the doors after much warnings. On move out day they brought her mother with to play guard dog so that I could not get anywhere near my grandson. I always liked this lady she has had a hard life. But these kids not really kids both 30 performed as usual that day very very disrespectful toward me. So they left my 2000 Sq ft home and moved in with her parents. They had 2 bedrooms here. They had only one there because it was a run down single wide mobile home and daddy charged them rent and they had to buy their own grocery and do their own laundry.

On move out day her mom saw exactly how they were treating me and all the disrespect, they returned one week Later well I had never heard so many please and thank you in my life. Their car was not fully in park before my grandson was in my arms.

They lasted 4 months in that arrangement started looking halfway between the two sets of grandparents which would be about 20 minutes. They now live 5 minutes from me. I have the best daughter in law we have a great relationship. I love here so much her mom just needed to talk to her.

“No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.” Awake! 2009 Jul p.29

I believe this is the quote SafeAtHome is referring to above. JWFACTS.
