The Watchtower Is Lying -- Yet Again! (Wt 9/15/03)

In the Sept. 15, '03 Watchtower, an experience is offered concerning a man named

Rolf-Michael, who apparently traded drug addition for cultish addiction.

(perhaps some of you recall a Cheech and Chong sketch in which an odd man

announces that he "used to be messed up on drugs and he used to be messed up

on alcohol, but now I'm messed up on Jesus!")

Be that as it may, the egregious falsehood is in this quote:

"Regrettably, in some countries the Witnesses are falsely accused of being a

dangerous sect that breaks up families. Rolf-Michael's experience proves

    otherwise."

Falsely accused???? In those now-distant days before the Watchtower came

to be ruled by present day cowards, they eagerly quoted scriptures that

seemed to justify their family wrecking practises ( like Matt. 10: 34 - 37).

No more! Now these craven hypocrites have discovered the ease that

results from simply LYING about the darker demands they impose on Witnesses

(or should I say "the Witnesses", as they do, as if somehow they are somehow

    detached from commanding the "faithful".).

If you doubt their lying intent, consider WHY they are offering this experience.

Can there be any doubt that they "are under the gun", from angry relatives

and ex-Witnesses who petition governments to disallow tax exemptions and

other favors? They are well aware of their own efforts to break family ties

when it interferes with Watchtower control - and the bitter reactions they

face because of it. Their REACTION herein proves this statement is DESIGNED

as a LIE - to deceptively overcome justified opposition to their family wrecking.

Furthermore, take careful note of what the Watchtower Society preaches

in PRIVATE , in publications that are NOT available to the public - such as

the August 2002 Kingdom Ministry in the article "Display Christian Loyalty-

When a Relative is Disfellowshipped". This destructive article, kept out of public

view, offers such loving gems as "it might be possible to have almost no contact

at all with the relative" and that any association should be kept to "an absolute

    minimum."

Of course, this doesn't even cover the lack of family togetherness engendered

by the Witness view that God is going to soon kill their non-Witness relatives.

After all, "the masses of people facing annilhilation ... include our unbelieving

relatives, neighbors, workmates, schoolmates and acquaintances." (Sept 2000

Kingdom Ministry pg. 1) - just another example of Watchtower deception

with their true feelings hidden in a publication that the public doesn't see.

Consider also, the utter absence of logic in offering any single example

of a Witness with an improved family - it says NOTHING about the overall,

general damage they do to countless families. Would any Witness

"Judicial Committee" mercifully accept a statement from an alcoholic

"I'm not a drunkard, I was sober last Tuesday morning!". Do single

examples disprove the destructive anti-family trend in Watchtower -land?

Add to this discussion the rejection of 'worldly' holidays - as possibly the

only opportunity to associate with 'worldly' relatives.

And finally, add on the CONTINUING FRAUD of encouraging Witness parents

to strictly raise their children as Witnesses ALL WHILE THE SOCIETY KNOWS

FROM THEIR OWN INTERNAL STATISTICS that it is nearly hopeless since

the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of such kids are df'd - or leave the "truth".

This kind of fraud would get a drug company sued out of existence - but not

the Watchtower, whose cowardly leaders hide behind their lawyers, ever eager

to design more falsehoods to ensnare their tired followers.

    Amen.

The Watchtower cult/publishing company is not the only brand of religion that breaks family bonds. But for a religion that publicly proclaims itself pro-family (and what religion wouldn't), they are so hypocritical as your post shows -- because what they privately publish disproves their claim.

And the courts are loathe to come after them, because they don't want to dictate what brand of religion is good or not. So unfortunately, the Watchtower gets away with murder (of family ties).

Frustrating. Getting information like this out in public view seems to be the best counterattack against the J-dubs. The more people that know the real deal about them, the better.

"Regrettably, in some countries the Witnesses are falsely accused of being a dangerous sect that breaks up families..."

Is it just me or are they responding directly to things said on this very board? "Dangerous [cult] that breaks up families". How many times has that phrase been used here?

We've got 'em scared my friends!

    Mike.

"Regrettably, in some countries the Witnesses are falsely accused of being a dangerous sect that breaks up families. Rolf-Michael's experience proves otherwise."

Maybe they would have more credability as a non-distructive cult if they joined the UN as an NGO.

No, the witnesses do NOT break up families. That's why so many of us on this board are still anonymous. Cause we're NOT worried our good family saving JW families would disown us for saying what we really think, right?

Liars. this one really torqued me. Have to get my hands on this magazine in case we are "outed" (probably by me caving in and saying what I really think to my JW family.) Think I need to put a file together for when they try to tell me that *I* am the one breaking up the family. I won't be the one doing the shunning.

Hey, all the facts in the world don't matter. If you leave the organization, everything everything everything is your damn fault! You thereby left "Jehovah" and need to turn around to bring the family back together, in their view.

If you don't you'll be shunned by those who fantasize that Jehovah will slaughter them in an upcoming war of Armageddon where only those who read and believe Watchtower literature will form part of the surviving "great crowd".

Metatron, Such an excellent post. And we've all seen too many sorry family circumstances because of religions. Here's an interesting one:

After my DA was announced (I wasn't there), within a day, a day, yes I said a day ... a sister called my husband all concerned and asked him if he got to see me or talk to me very often??? Nick said yeah I see her everyday. Sister says oh well I thought ... she never said what she thought. We both laughed because of course I da'd because I was immoral right, I must have done something wrong or why would I leave. Godd grief I still shake my head over that one. SHEEEESH

Meta: Once again, sharp insight, especially this:

...the CONTINUING FRAUD of encouraging Witness parents to strictly raise their children as Witnesses ALL WHILE THE SOCIETY KNOWS FROM THEIR OWN INTERNAL STATISTICS that it is nearly hopeless since the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of such kids are df'd - or leave the "truth". This kind of fraud would get a drug company sued...

Mary: Great job of exposing the JW doublespeak!

Panda: When I read your post, I couldn't help wondering if the sister had some ulterior motive. Was she (in a subtle way) going to offer herself as your replacement?
