The following quote from the July issue of Awake is in turn a quote from a secular publication:
“The more children see
that they are part of something larger than them-
selves—a family, a school, a community—the more
readily they perform acts of kindness that benefit
everyone, not just themselves,” says the book Par-
enting Without Borders.
This is what will be offered out in the ministry, in an effort to portray JWs as normal, but it couldn't be further from the truth as they deliberately try to REMOVE themselves from local culture, including non-jw 'family, school and community'.
Contrast that with the cultist sounding commands issuing from the July study edition:
Carefully follow the latest direc-
tions. Do we faithfully follow the latest
directions that Jehovah has given us? If
so, we will not rely on always doing
things the way we have done them in the
past. Rather, we will be quick to follow
any new direction that Jehovah pro-
vides through his organization. (Heb.
13:17) At the same time, we will be care-
ful that we “do not go beyond the things
that are written.” (1 Cor. 4:6)
It's very alarming that they apply 1 Cor.4:6 to THEIR OWN writings, not going beyond the things the organization has written. This is just further proof that their dogma is the final say when it comes to matters, of more importance than the Bible.
