I am a retail monkey--I will be working tomorrow to service all you shiftless real job having no-gooders on your day off.
I will actually be Laboring!
I want a holiday for everyone who always ends up working Labor Day!
Anyone else toiling with me tomorrow?

I think few people realize the hard work that so many people have to do when they don't get those holidays like other people

Nope! However, I've done it many times Jo! It's nice to finally have a job that let's me have a Monday off. With hard work and perserverance you'll have one too! *Giggle, snort*

sorry,i just opened my own business about 6 months ago, so i work 7 days a week, but what a joy to be the boss:)

Don't feel bad, Jo. I work at a casino... I dont get *any* holidays off. I cry every Christmas while driving to work.
Other than working holidays, though, it's a pretty swell job and I like it. I guess it's better to hate my job a few days a year than to be miserable going to work every day, eh?

Dave always works on Labor Day. He does repairs to walls in people's homes and they are thrilled to get it done anytime.
I am babysitting one of my grandsons today, because his mother is a hairdresser at a major department store, and it's open today. His Dad is our son, and he is working too, in the business.................repairing walls.
I think Labor Day isn't the big holiday it once was. I remember when the Malls weren't open that day and most stores weren't open either. Of course that was back in the Stone Age.
I used to take the kids school shopping on Labor Day................great sales and I couldn't put it off any longer.
