Anyone else out there a StarTrek fan? Looking forward to the new series with Scott Bakula. Been a fan of his since Quantum Leap. What a cutie patootie!

Hi Between,
I saw the last episode of Voyager last night. During the commercial breaks "Enterprise" was being advertized. I heard about the new series a few months back, supposed to be set pre-Kirk era. Scott Bakula is in it you say? Could be good, I always liked Quantum Leap. I just hope it stays within the standards of the later series of ST and not something really cheesy like "Andromeda".

Oh I know! Andromeda is SO bad. Gene Roddenberry must be rolling over in his grave...especially as they have to say GENE RODDENBERRY'S ANDROMEDA! eeeeeeeeeeek. Watched Voyager last night too. Was a little disappointed with the ending. It was very anticlimactic. I think they should have showed them coming to earth and seeing everyones reactions. It was as if it needed another half hour AT least. Ah well!

I haven't seen it yet so PLEASE don't tell me what happens but I imagine is hasn't been 'ended' so that they can do the odd film or two. That's what usually happens when a series finishes isn't it ?

I was disapointed with the ending as well. It was a bit like the ending of "Next Generation" with a fast forward to a future time. Going back in time and changing history had already been used in a previous "Voyager" episode when Chakote(? spelling) and Harry Kim returned to the crashed Voyager 20 years later.
I really thought the series wouldn't end and that the journey home would be done in a movie with a possible tie-in to the Picard crew...sort of handing over of the gauntlet. Oh well, I hope I haven't given too much away..not any more than the trailers were showing anyway.
